ISTCKonnect
Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2025
The short version
ISTCKonnect uses cookies for one reason: to keep you logged in. We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. No cookie banners needed — because we're not doing anything that requires one.
What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small file your browser saves when you visit a website. It lets the site remember something about you between pages — in our case, that you're logged in.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| istck_session | Keeps you logged in. Without this, you'd have to sign in on every page. | 7 days |
| PHPSESSID | Standard PHP session identifier. Manages your active session on the server. | Browser session |
That's the complete list.
What we don't use
- Google Analytics or any analytics tracking
- Facebook Pixel or any advertising network cookies
- Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any behaviour tracking tools
- Third-party cookies of any kind
Google services
When you use Google login or the location autocomplete during registration, Google's own cookies may be set by your browser as part of their services. We don't control those — they're governed by Google's privacy policy.
Controlling cookies
You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings at any time. If you delete the session cookie, you'll be logged out and will need to sign in again with your OTP. That's the only practical effect.
