Terms of Use

The short version

ISTCKonnect is a platform built by ISTCians, for ISTCians. By using it, you agree to keep it that way — honest, respectful, and useful for the community. These terms exist to protect the platform and everyone on it, not to intimidate you with legal language.

Who can use ISTCKonnect

ISTCKonnect is open to alumni, current students, and faculty of the Indo Swiss Training Centre. All registrations are manually reviewed and approved by the admin team. By registering, you confirm that your ISTC connection is genuine.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login secure
• Your profile information must be accurate — fake profiles will be removed
• One account per person
• You can delete your account at any time by contacting us

What you can do

• Browse and connect with fellow ISTCians
• Post genuine job and internship opportunities
• Share news and updates relevant to the community
• Use the platform to grow your professional network

What you cannot do

• Impersonate another ISTCian or use a false identity
• Post spam, scams, or fraudulent opportunities
• Harass, abuse, or demean any member of the community
• Scrape or harvest member data using automated tools
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation without permission
• Share another member's contact details without their consent

Opportunities posted on the platform

Opportunities listed on ISTCKonnect are posted in good faith by community members. We don't vet every listing — use your own judgement before applying. If you spot something suspicious, report it to us and we'll investigate immediately.

Content you post

Anything you post on ISTCKonnect — profile info, articles, opportunities — remains yours. You give us permission to display it on the platform. We don't claim ownership of your content and we won't use it outside the platform without asking you.

Our right to moderate

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or harm the community. We'll always try to reach out first — banning someone is a last resort. The goal is to keep ISTCKonnect a place every ISTCian is proud to be part of.

Availability

We keep the platform running as reliably as we can, but we're a community project — not a commercial service with uptime guarantees. We may occasionally take the site down for maintenance and will try to give notice when planned.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a revised date. Continued use of ISTCKonnect after changes means you accept the updated terms.
