NIT Uttarakhand issued advertisement 08/2026 dated 21 September 2026 for 21 non teaching posts, of which 11 are Technician grade posts open to diploma holders. Technician (Selection Grade-II) covers Computer Science 2, Electronics 2, Electrical 1, Mechanical 1 and Library 1. Technician covers Civil 2, Electrical 1 and Electronics 1. The Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical lines map directly onto ISTC trades. Application is online through the institute recruitment portal, and a signed hard copy has to reach the Registrar separately.

Eligibility: a 3 year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant field qualifies. Maximum age 27 years.
Pay: Selection Grade-II is Level 5, Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300, with consolidated contract pay of Rs. 47,000 per month. Technician consolidated pay is Rs. 35,000 per month.
Fee Rs. 250, waived for SC, ST, women and Divyaang candidates.
