Noida International University (NIU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NSL GUI Technologies to introduce three new technology-focused academic programmes from the 2026–27 session.
According to the announcement, the collaboration will lead to the launch of programmes in Biotech Data Science, BCA Data Science and Biotech Semiconductor Technology.
The initiative is aimed at bringing academic learning closer to the skills and practical knowledge required by industry, particularly in rapidly developing areas such as data science, artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology.
Three New Technology-Focused Programmes
The programmes announced under the collaboration are:
- Biotech Data Science
- BCA Data Science
- Biotech Semiconductor Technology
The combination is noteworthy because it brings together disciplines that were traditionally taught separately. Data science is increasingly being applied across scientific and industrial domains, while semiconductor technologies are becoming relevant to a growing range of electronics, instrumentation, automation and advanced manufacturing applications.

NIU Chairman Dr. Devesh Kumar Singh said that classroom knowledge alone is not sufficient and that the collaboration would help students understand modern technologies as well as the requirements of the professional world.

Training for Admission Counsellors
The collaboration is not limited to curriculum development.
NSL GUI Technologies will also conduct training programmes for the university’s admission counsellors. The objective is to enable counsellors to better explain the new programmes, their benefits and the future opportunities associated with them to prospective students and their parents.
