The 61st Convocation Ceremony of the Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC), CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh was held today, celebrating the achievements of the graduating Class of 2026 and marking the beginning of a new chapter in their professional journeys.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. K. K. Shukla, Director, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, who attended as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Alka Rao, Director, CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (CSIR-IMTech), Chandigarh, joined as the Guest of Honour.
Faculty members, students, alumni and families gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of this year's graduates, recognising years of dedication, technical training and practical learning.
A Tradition Built Over Six Decades
Since its establishment in 1963, ISTC has built a reputation for producing highly skilled engineers and technologists who have gone on to contribute across manufacturing, automation, precision engineering, electronics, aerospace, automotive, research and entrepreneurship.
With every graduating batch, that legacy continues.
For the Class of 2026, the convocation is not simply the completion of an academic programme. It is an entry into a professional community that spans generations and industries.
More Than a Certificate
An ISTC qualification has long represented more than technical education.
For decades, employers have associated the ISTC name with strong practical skills, disciplined work ethic and the ability to solve real engineering problems.
Every new graduate inherits that reputation. Every career they build contributes to strengthening it further.
As graduates leave the campus and step into organisations across India and around the world, they also become ambassadors of the institution and its values.
A New Chapter Begins
Convocation marks both an ending and a beginning.
For some graduates, the next destination will be industry. Others will pursue higher education, research, entrepreneurship or leadership roles.
Wherever their journey leads, the lessons learned at ISTC and the alumni network they now become part of will remain an enduring part of their professional identity.
Welcome to the Alumni Community
The entire ISTCKonnect community congratulates the Class of 2026 on this important milestone.
We look forward to following your journeys, celebrating your achievements, and welcoming you as active members of the growing global network of ISTC alumni.
Congratulations, and best wishes for the road ahead.
