ISTC Admissions 2026 Open as Students Secure Placements Across Industry

As admissions open for Session 2026–27 at Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC), CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh, the institute’s outgoing batches are already seeing strong placement outcomes across engineering, manufacturing, automation, healthcare, electronics, and industrial technology sectors.

Students from the 2022 and 2023 batches have secured opportunities with companies including Maruti Suzuki, Addverb Technologies, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, NMTronics, Best Group, Rockpecker Global, The Gaurs, and others.

The placement activity reflects a trend repeatedly associated with ISTC over the decades — strong fundamentals, practical learning, and industry-oriented technical education translating into real professional opportunities.

Placements Across Disciplines

Students from multiple programs have secured placements this year, including:

  • 4-Year Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – Die & Mould
  • 4-Year Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics & Industrial Automation
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering

Among the students placed this year:

  • Dhairya secured placement at Maruti Suzuki, Gurgaon.
  • Navneet Kaur, pursuing the 4-Year Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – Die & Mould, secured placement at Maruti Suzuki, Gurgaon.

According to interactions recorded with students and alumni during the admissions campaign, many students highlighted the institute’s emphasis on practical learning, workshop exposure, and strong technical fundamentals as key contributors to their growth.

“Strong Basics Take You Far”

Alongside placement stories from current students, alumni from previous decades also shared reflections on the long-term value of technical fundamentals learned at ISTC.

Gaurav Attri (Batch 2009), currently working with Brain Domain, Singapore — founded by fellow ISTCian Sandeep Sharma (Batch 1986) — shared that one of the biggest strengths of ISTC is its focus on basics and practical knowledge.

Drawing from over a decade of industry experience, he noted that professionals whose fundamentals are clear continue to adapt and grow across technologies and industries.

Rajvir Singh (Batch 1981), now based in Perth, Australia and associated with the education system within a State Department there, also reflected on the excellence of learning and practical exposure received during his time at ISTC.

These stories form part of a wider pattern visible across generations of ISTCians — from manufacturing floors and industrial plants to research environments, automation companies, global organizations, and technical leadership roles.

Placement Momentum Continues

Based on the placement activity and student interactions recorded so far, placement outcomes for the outgoing batches remain strong, with a significant proportion of students already securing opportunities before completing their course.

Students placed this year come from different states including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Chandigarh, reflecting ISTC’s continued reach across regions.
