What the specialisation covers
Mechatronics combines mechanical, electrical and control engineering. The specialisation year focuses on the systems that run modern factories: programmable logic controllers, sensors, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics, and robotic and automated production lines.
Where it leads
Automation technician, PLC programmer, maintenance engineer, commissioning engineer and robotics cell operator roles. Automation companies named in the 2026 brochure include Siemens, Rockwell Automation and Fanuc India.

Is this course AICTE approved?
Yes. The 2026 Information Brochure states that all ISTC courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
What is the eligibility?
Class 10 passed with Mathematics, Science and English, with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST). Candidates awaiting their Class 10 result can apply.
How is the course allotted?
By rank in the ISTC entrance exam merit list at counselling. When a course fills up, the next candidates can choose only from courses that still have seats.
